Bio: Eccentricity personified*
I was in hospital recently and I had to stay overnight and I was asked if I was asked:

"Are you pre-op?"

I answered "yes" and they asked if I minded going on a male ward. I said I didn't and was transferred to a male ward.

Anyway, I was there and I heard "she/her" constantly but as it says female on my records (and I wasn't in a state to complain/correct) I was dealing with it.

Near the end of my stay, a nurse comes up to me and says:

"I am so sorry, I thought you were born female and going to become a man not born male, my colleagues keep correcting me..."

I said "No, you are correct."

She said "I thought I was. There was talk of sending you to a female ward to make you feel more comfortable. I was the only one that thought you were born female. Anyway, I'll let you let them know."

I didn't tell the doctors anything and stayed where I was. I was discharged a short time afterwards. (Due to being healthy enough, not trans related)
